Saturn’s moon, Titan, has an unusually thick atmosphere. The Cassini mission, orbiting Saturn, seeks to understand Saturn’s moons and rings. Use data from Cassini to figure out what makes up the atmosphere of Titan compare it to Saturn’s rings, and learn more about the Cassini mission and the Huygens Probe that descended onto Titan’s surface. This is part of the Laboratory for Atmospheric and Space Physics (LASP) Project SPECTRA! suite of activities that uses concepts of light and the electromagnetic spectrum to explore our Solar System. Funded by NASAs MAVEN Mission to Mars.
